North Somerset Athletic Club is a multi-discipline athletic club with training throughout the week at a number of venues, with separate sessions for Young Athletes, T&F and Endurance.
As a fully-inclusive club, our aim is to encourage all our members to perform to the best of their ability in an environment that is fun and builds inter-personal skills.
The club’s primary training venue is at Clevedon School with a satellite centre in Weston-super-Mare. The Endurance team also uses the 400m track at SGS College.
Clevedon School
Priory School
The athletics track at the school was first opened in 2015 and has been upgraded with a high jump area (2017) and solar lighting (2022), allowing for extended hours of training during winter months.
In addition to the 60m polymeric track, used for sprint and hurdles training, long jump, high jump and pole vault, the facility at the school includes a UK-standard discus and hammer throwing cage, a shotput pit and use of the 400m grass track during the summer months.
The club has use of the sports hall during the winter months and the outdoor 400m grass track and facilities during the summer, offering athletes the opportunity to experience a full range of track and field events.
