PB’s at Exeter BMC

David Warnes is clearly enjoying the track right now and another excellent display of front running, this time in the 800m, won him the ‘B’ race at last weeks Exeter BMC. He breached the 2 minute marker for the first time when recording a new PB of 1.59.98.  Callum Smith also PB’d in the same race with a time of 2.07.98.

Mike Proffitt took on the 1500m and came away with a seasons best of 4.17.7 just a tad off his own PB.  Sam Gentry (in the same race) seems to be consistently running well and another good time of 4.22.49 was less than half a second off his own best. Whilst Jack Wilkinson also appears to be on a roll and his time of 4.36.15 took him to a new PB over the same distance.

Sam also travelled to Milton Keynes on Saturday for another Milers Club event and this time smashed his PB in the 1500m with a fantastic time of 4.16 to easily take himself inside the English Schools qualifying time.

It was also good to see ex club athletes Nelly and Alice Bridger-Morales running well to record good times of 2.29.94 and 2.38.70 respectively in the 800m races. A seasons best for Nelly and a new PB for Alice was their reward for the trip down the M5.

James Rodgers travelled up the M4 to run the Vitality London 10k and was reasonably satisfied with his run. A time of 32.12  saw him finish 29th from the 2,500 strong field that was a Rio qualifier for Britians top middle distance runners.

Josh Davis instead chose the short hop to Bradley Stoke where he finished 6th in the Aztec Fast 5k with a time of 15.31.
