Hosting this event added another level of complexity to the day, especially with the covid rules still being applied! Thanks to Andy and his team, this was well taken care of, and NSAC once again competed well, despite only 16 athletes forming the team (compared to the ‘ideal’ team of around 40!) thanks once again to covid isolations…

A 4th place finish overall a fair reflection of the day.

Another NSAC record for George I in the triple jump, closing in on a 13m jump with 12.93m.

A near miss for Millie R in the 80m hurdles. A 12.49 second run, just 1/100th off of Anicia S record set in 2012, and into a 3m/s headwind.

One of the hottest days of the year greeted the teams for this tight event. NSAC losing 18 of their 37 strong team in the few days before the event (covid isolations, injuries and illnesses) meant any chance of winning the event disappeared. Competing athletes continued to impress, with a stack of personal bests.

A few days after this, Sam H travelled to Leicestershire, and knocked 4 seconds off his 800M personal best in 1;56.81 minutes at the Charnwood Open. This time breaks the NSAC u17 Club record, and ranks Sam 2nd in the UK for first-year Under-17 athletes.

A fantastic run run from Alice B M in the prestigious bmc/south west championship 3000m last night in a big PB and an NSAC u20 club record of 10min 32s and the gold medal.
