NSAC Athlete aims for a world record!!

Stuart Leaney a NSAC athlete is attempting to break the world record for completing 50 km on a treadmill this week on 9 December.  Stuart who this year has already won the Chelmsford marathon this autumn and the Bath Two Tunnels 50 km in September.  At this years London Marathon Stuart came 176.

Stuart aims to break the world record on 9 December at 10am in Newminster House on 27-29 Baldwin Street. The current official Guinness World Record is 3 hours 9 minutes and 8 seconds. Unofficially (not ratified by Guinness) the record currently stands at 2 hours 59 minutes and 49 secs, that’s running 5mins 47 secs per mile for 31 miles.
