The ‘Weather Gods’ were not smiling us on, unfortunately. With it raining for just two hours during the whole day, extremely frustrating that it chose one of those hours as the time of the Relays!
The year 7-8 race in particular was met with heavy rainsand wind. Parents and spectators huddled against the Science Block at Clevedon School or under the tent whilst the athletes and officials got stuck in! Over 100 children, dressed in fancy dress or not, enjoyed the event, despite the conditions. Terrific effort by everyone, and a nice end to the Cross-Country season.
Thank you to ‘The Club at Cadbury House’ and ‘Promotional Peaks’ for supplying goodie bags and pennants for the fastest leg Athletes. As always, much appreciated!
