Competitions start to arrive thick and fast, returning again to Yeovil for the Bill Whistlecroft Spring Series. A windy, and at times wet venue, made for difficult conditions
Seven NSAC Athletes attended, and came away with six personal bests and two Club records.
In the under-15 boys, George L demonstrated his potential with a massive 13.53 personal best and club record in the shot. Coach Bruce adamant that 14m is achievable this year
In the under-17 mens George I improved his 100m Hurdles personal best to 15.61 seconds, closing in on the long-standing Club record of 15.49 seconds from Henry C.
Also in the under-17 mens, Sam H improved his personal best significantly with a 2;02.74. A sub-2 minute run surely only months away with the right conditions
In the under-17 ladies 800m, Keira D posted an excellent 2;19.83 minutes, again confident this time will drop as the season unfolds.
In the under-20 ladies, Steph B broke the Club 400m hurdles record with a personal best of 68.26 seconds. She also broke her personal best in the shot with a 8.59m put
Jame V broke 2 minutes for the first time over 800m, with an impressive 1;58.72 minutes
Finally, Pip M, competing for the first time in over 18 months, ran a time of 19.79 seconds
Fantastic results from those wanting to return to competition after what has been a tough year for all!
